Tube punching machine is one of the most commonly used cold stamping equipment, which is used as the working platform of cold stamping die.
1. The mold
Mold: It is a special tool for pressurizing metal or nonmetal materials into parts or products of the desired shape in industrial production. These special tools are collectively called molds. Stamping is the forming method to apply external force on the plates, strips, pipes and profiles with the tube punching machine and mold to cause plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the required shape and size. The work pieces here are stamping parts.
Stamping die: In cold stamping, the special process equipment that processes the material (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products) is commonly known as cold stamping die.
2. Mold is a tool to produce stamping parts, and there are the following types:
(1) Simple mold: This is a mold that completes a process in a punching stroke, so simple mold is also called single process mold, such as blanking die or washer punching die.
(2) Progressive mold (continuous mold): It is a mold used to complete two stamping operations or several continuous stamping processes in one stroke of a punching machine. It is used for different parts of the front and back of the mold plane. The stamping process completed by the progressive mold is distributed along the blanking feeding direction.
(3) Composite mold: In one stroke of the tube punching machine, two or more external pressure processes are completed at the same coordinate position of the mold, or the stamping process is completed at different coordinate positions of the mold. For example, in gasket production, the blank is sent to the same coordinate position of the mold, and the finished mold is the compound mold completed in one punch stroke of the tube punching machine. Another example is the so-called blanking drawing mold, which is also a composite mold.
