The Forming Principle of Cold-formed Sectional Steel by the U Channel Roll Forming Machine.

By the shape of its section, the cold formed sectional steel can be divided into:

1.The Open Section. The simplest sectional steel facilitates the manufacturing operation, such as the angle steel, the channel steel and the common window-frame steel.

2.The Closed Section. It is also known as the hollow steel, such as the rectangular pipe, the closed square pipe, etc.

The roll forming method employs a group of U channel roll forming machine to gradually bend the strip into the required cross-section.

A unit of U channel roll forming machine is composed of four frames, which are responsible for the flatting and feeding of the strips. The latter three frames respectively undertake their certain forming tasks to achieve an angled strip. The elongation shall be within the maximum elastic magnitude of the material in the process of roll forming in case of the margin plastic stretching.
