The Definition of the Steel Framing Roll Former

The steel framing roll former achieves the required cross-section shape by continuously bending metal strips fed forward with the revolving plate in the sequence of passing through the holed roller of several pairs.

Therefore, the roll forming is a continuous bending forming method. The strip begins to bend at the entrance of the roller and moves forward to the central section of the roller. Done is the forming inside the second pair of rollers, out from which the strip then goes to the third pair.

The steel framing roll former is a molding method that the full-length strip goes through several different passes in turn bent and deformed partly to gradually achieve the finished section of a uniform shape. The pass is formed by the configurated two or more forming rollers (also known as rollers or formers) with both the horizontal and the vertical feasible.

The pass is one of the crucial factors to the quality and productivity. Installed on the frame and driven by the motor, the forming roller is responsible for driving the strip forward through the transmission system. Generally, the horizontal one is the active while the vertical one is the passive. Equipped with two or more forming rollers, one frame is a forming machine, which by two or more forms a forming unit.
